120 years of innovation and tradition
A new exhibition in the HIGHVOLT foyer on Marie-Curie-Straße in Dresden sheds light on the moving and exciting history of HIGHVOLT. In addition to vividly designed panels about innovations, technical records and all kinds of stories from 120 years, there are other highlights and many a surprise to discover.
HIGHVOLT can look back on a very special anniversary at the end of 2024. The foundation stone for our position as one of the world's most renowned suppliers of high-voltage testing and measurement technology was laid 120 years ago when the electrical engineering company Koch & Sterzel was founded. Thanks to their innovative spirit, quality awareness and drive, the Dresden-based company quickly rose to become one of the leading manufacturers of transformers, instrument transformers and high-voltage test and measurement technology. To this day, the HIGHVOLT tradition is based on these fundamental values and virtues.
Anyone who would like to explore the moving, exciting and impressive history of HIGHVOLT in detail, including practical illustrative objects such as the TuR bread roaster from 1960 – and how this product actually came about – is welcome to visit the new exhibition in the foyer at Marie-Curie-Strasse 10. On several display boards, we comprehensively present the work of HIGHVOLT over the past 120 years. Whether under the former innovation leader "Koch & Sterzel", the internationally renowned transformer and X-ray factory (TuR) in the GDR or since 1995 as HIGHVOLT – impressive systems have been firmly anchored in our DNA for 120 years.
The exhibition in the foyer can be visited on weekdays between 8 am and 5 pm at Marie-Curie-Straße 10 in 01139 Dresden.
