Our innovations are built on a solid foundation. Over 115 years of experience have made HIGHVOLT one of the leading suppliers of high voltage test and measurement technologies worldwide. The foundation stone for this successful development was laid as far back as 1904: When electrical engineering company Koch & Sterzel was founded in Dresden, it quickly became the leading German manufacturer of transformers, instrument transformers and high voltage test and measurement technology. After the Second World War, it became Transformatoren und Röntgenwerk (Transfomer and X-Ray Plant), which gained an excellent reputation far beyond Germany’s borders under its abbreviation TuR. In 1991, during the German reunification period, Siemens AG took over the company. Four years later, the high voltage test system business unit was spun off into an autonomous company. That marked the birth of HIGHVOLT Prüftechnik Dresden GmbH, which has been a member of the Reinhausen-Group since 2002.
